The Lord is my shepherd always
whenever I have need
trusting God for every supply
His grace suffices me

I do not lack for anything
which is needful to live
as God takes care of all His sheep
from abundance He gives

for worry cannot add to height
nor will it change a thing
it is futile to worry so
answers it does not bring
____
it is better to live by faith
seeing God’s grace each day
rejoicing in all His blessings
giving thanks as one prays

then life has true meaningful joy
when God is Lord of man
anxieties are put away
for Jesus is at hand
____
He knows His own and how they’re made
their thoughts their moods each one
developing their characters
in likeness of the Son
____
as God has charge over His flock
He shepherds by His love
with wisdom might and all power
man’s needs are met thereof
